Albany

A haven for people-watching, Albany’s Solano Avenue is a pedestrian-friendly street dotted with gourmet groceries, florists, charming boutiques, antique shops, cafes, and restaurants. Residents from all over the Bay Area have discovered this quaint street, and it is now a popular destination for tourists as well as locals. The Solano Stroll in September attracts thousands of visitors. The Albany Bulb, situated on a former garden and concrete dump site, now parkland, offers many interesting diversions. 

Situated between North Berkeley, Kensington and El Cerrito, Albany is close to major freeways as well as BART and other public transportation. San Francisco can be as close as 20 minutes.
